Spring day at forest park

It was a nice warm spring day so we decided to go to our favorite forest park. This time for a change we planned to bring our own lunch instead of doing potluck.

We went there at lunch time. Jai had his lunch till that Gandhi and Worha family joined us. We found a nice spot near water and had lunch.

It was such a nice day and forest park water was intimidating. Jai any way get intimidated with any water. First time water felt cold but as we started playing more in water it got better.

After spending some time there Ram wanted to go to zoo.

Weather was so good even the animals at zoo were happy.

After spending lots of time at zoo, Ram and Jai played at the play area. Jai liked to slide.

Ram's first wish list of books!!

Ram always has book fairs in his school. This time it was special since Ram came home with the wish list. I was happy to see his love for books and also he has his own choice. I wish he gets more and more interested in books.

Our DC trip

In Feb, we had long weekend and we decided to visit Dipti Mau and Hrishikesh Dada.

We started at Jai and Ram's bed time on Thursday and stayed at Edison and started early morning for Maryland.

We had yummy lunch by Dipti and then nice nap. Jai and Ram got lovely Easter surprises.

In the evening we went for Great Falls and the drive was awesome and the place itself was very nice. Then in the evening Ram, Shri and Hrishikesh had blast in mall...they went to Microsoft store. Ate yummy pasta in the dinner and was introduced to one new recipe. Second day went to Lincoln memorial and spend the afternoon in the park...the weather was very nice.

I had great shopping with Dipti and then left in the evening for return journey. While coming back we visited Megha and family and reached to Edison.

Sunday morning we had lunch and had great stroll around a pond and lots of chatting with Priti and stated for South Windsor.

It was a great weekend after long time. Lots of eating and chatting.
